Paradise Ridge Winery Engagement: Devin & Megan

Today, we zoom ahead temporarily to Devin and Megan’s Paradise Ridge Winery engagement session! They’re getting married this Saturday, Pi Day, and I thought, “What better time to post these?” I’m sure I’ll harp on about how awesome Pi Day is when I blog their wedding, so, instead, let me tell you about how miserable the traffic was driving up there. I live in Mountain View and I knew that Santa Rosa wasn’t going to be an easy drive. Still, I left early for our date at the Paradise Ridge Winery, and still arrived over 30 minutes late. I have fevered memories of sitting on the freeway trying to get Siri to text Megan updates every 10 minutes. I felt so awful and I can only hope my copious apologies were accepted – they seem to have been anyway! At any rate, the more I hang out with these two, the more I like them, which is honestly something I hope to say of all my clients. Still, it’s not often that you walk into someone’s apartment and find that you share a lot of the same cookbooks! I’m super excited to shoot their wedding this weekend up in Sacramento! Eeeeee!

Today, we start with one of those magical moments when California grass and trees combine to create an absolutely dreamy image:

The view from up top is amazing! They’d just started a wine tasting when I finally broke free from the traffic. Yum!




I’m definitely hoping to see more of these faces on the dance floor this weekend.

We moved from the winery proper to the actually vineyard. They’d just finished crush and were totally nice about letting us wander around the place, though there weren’t very many grapes left.

Thank goodness I was holding my camera up when they did this, just completely unprompted! I love it!

Pi Day! We finished at the winery and went back to their apartment to pick up Jack, their adorable dog.

However… we failed to bring the treats for Jack, and he was clearly a bit sleepy and possibly uncooperative. 🙂 We managed somehow!

I love how we closed this session and I can only hope we squeeze in some fantastic shots this weekend! Congratulations, Megan and Devin! See you both soon!
