The Winery SF Wedding: Brian & Jennifer
Posted December 23, 2014 at 10:00 am in The Winery SF Wedding
We jump ahead a few weddings to Brian and Jennifer’s the Winery SF wedding on Treasure Island. If you’ve never been here, go! It’s absolutely gorgeous! Perhaps it’s no coincidence that Brian and Jen are friends with Reese and Ryan, but this wedding ran late as well! So late, in fact, that we basically chucked family photos to the wind (you can imagine, I was mildly disturbed), and later, they even decided to drop all the events from the reception and just have a dance party! I doubt anyone else even noticed, but at one point a huge group of high schoolers came through the back door and joined in, it was pretty crazy!
Still, it worked for them, and this elegant wedding was the result. All the family photos we missed during the day, we took, club photography style, during the dances, and Jen’s grey-purple styling was beyond reproach. At our first meeting, Jen introduced herself as an event planner and even though she doesn’t plan weddings normally, I knew she was going to apply her planning knowledge to her own wedding. Awesome props again to Nicole Cross at 43rd Ave. Photography for being my second photographer.
We started by getting ready at the Hyatt Regency in San Francisco, and I just couldn’t resist the beautiful windows at the end of every hall!
Brian and Jennifer decided to include the locking up of a wine bottle in their ceremony – I can’t get over how awesome this box is!
What you see happening here is Brian’s brother forgetting he was supposed to loop around and walk Jen’s sister down the aisle after he walked down the first time! It was about 5 times funnier than the photos convey. 🙂
The emotions were real at this wedding. Wow!
Best first kiss??? I love the “before” photo!
I love that moment when you’re trying to be romantic, but instead, it’s just hilarious.
This is the little known upstairs to the City Winery, a smaller space than their downstairs, where you typically see weddings held. Be sure to ask after it if you’re visiting for weddings!
I hope Jen doesn’t mind me saying, but this first dance was… weird. I mean, in a good way, but it was pretty funny to watch! I feel like their facial expressions while dancing say it all.
