Happy New Year! I’ve resolved to start the year off right by updating the blog instead of leaving it by the wayside. I’ve been sitting on these photos of Sheena and Satjit’s marriage ceremony for months now, and I’ve been just terrible about actually posting here!
For those of you that don’t know, I’m regularly hired by a photographer out of Fremont, CA, Zia Mumtaz – he’s fantastic and if you’re in the market for an Indian photographer, he’s your man. He hires me to occasionally second shoot ceremonies and receptions, but mainly, he hires me so that he can get shots of the bride getting ready. For this particular couple, we were actually hired by the groom, Satjit, but Zia threw me in as a bonus and hired me to shoot through the ceremony. Unfortunately, I missed out on a fantastic reception, but it was still a blast. Sheena, the bride, asked me to show up at her house at 5 in the morning and the ceremony went straight through to the afternoon. By that point, I think we were all feeling a little loopy! 🙂
Congratulations, Sheena and Satjit, and best of luck in what’s now the new year!
Love the mehendi and iPhone shots! What a gorgeous, opulent wedding. Everyone has such baller eye makeup too.
I have a fantastic mehendi shot with a bride, Candy, who will hopefully be coming up in a few weeks. 😀 I am also amazed by everyone’s eye make up, having never had such amazing make up in my life!
