Cypress Meadows Wedding Photography: Bo & Karin

Posted June 28, 2013 at 11:00 am in ,

Remember that beautiful engagement session in the redwoods back in February? Well, now you can see Bo and Karin’s Cypress Meadows wedding photography session! Every detail was planned by Karin and her wonderful planner, Leslie at Rêve Events & Concierge, and the result was simply spectacular and everything I know Karin and Bo wanted for their wedding. Outdoors, sunshine, games, and fun! It’s hard to really find the words to describe how fond I am of these two, and their sun-filled wedding, so perhaps I will just let the photos speak for themselves!

One note of importance, I would have been lost without the capable second shooting of Mieke Strand, of Mad and Moonly Photography. Do you get the reference? If so, yes, she’s just that cool. Various photos below were taken by her, although they are so intermixed with my own, I couldn’t specifically reference them all! Thanks, Mieke!

(side note: I am using a different algorithm to optimize these photos for web viewing – do they look okay, everybody? They look good on my screen, but you never know!)

It all started at Seal Cove Inn, next door to Cypress Meadows…

I love this shot of her getting her make up done + a hint of her dress in the background!

Karin was so cute the whole day – here she is marveling at how beautiful she looks!

Most of the groomsmen getting ready was covered by Mieke.

Fashion party and fixing up a shaving mishap with makeup! Everyone has to look perfect on their wedding day, right?

The First Look – it pretty much mirrors a scene from their engagement session, just in reverse!

Some fun with family and friends before the ceremony. <3

Capturing all the details before the ceremony!

Check out this map they drew of the whole grassy area – after the ceremony Leslie and her crew worked tireless to set up all the games for the guests to play!

Karin, a couple weeks before the wedding: “Did you know I’ve been sewing bunting all night? No bueno.”

I don’t know what witchery Karin and Bo did to get this, but the band you see playing here are The Lady Crooners and they pretty much serenaded the couple all day long.

Honoring some of Karin’s heritage, the ceremony included a white string ceremony (which continued with the guests all through the reception), and a “feat of strength,” in which they sang to each other in order to prove their love. How awesome is that???

This 2nd gorgeous one below, with Karin and Bo in the “secret passage” is taken by awesome Mieke!

Karin’s Man of Honor put in an appearance. 😛

Just a fraction of the reception details!

Explaining…nay, entertainingly shouting the rules of the games about to be played. Seriously, though, this was hilarious.

Pretty much everyone was in tears by the end of Karin’s father’s speech. It was so sweet! Also, Karin and her man of honor apparently met on livejournal! AH! the memories! Any other ex-livejournal users out there? I know it’s embarrassing to admit it, but be strong!

And that’s all folks! Thanks for viewing! 😀

I just want to say WOW! The wedding was beautiful! And you shot it so well! Sometimes when I have nothing to do I secretly dream of my future wedding (it may seem crazy but hey, doesn’t every girl dream of their wedding day?). I was looking on Pinterest and I found this and I’m in love with your style! Someday when I get engaged, I hope you can be my photographer for my big day in the future
